Principles for Early Years Education are:

  1. Effective education comes from settings that understand that children develop rapidly during the early years - Physically, Intellectually, Emotionally and socially.
  2. All settings should ensure that all children feel included, secure and valued.
  3. Early Years experience should build on what children already know and can do.
  4. No child should feel excluded or disadvantaged.
  5. The setting should work together with Parents / Carers.
  6. The early years Curriculum should be carefully planned to provide activities to simulate children to learn through play.
  7. there should always be opportunities for children to engage in activities planned by adults and also those that they plan or initiate themselves.
  8. Setting must be able to observe and respond appropriately to children
  9. Well-planned intervention in activities at appropriate times will help children in the learning process.
  10. For children to have rich and simulating experiences, the learning environment should be well planned and well organised.
